performances
- We will have several small performances during the year, including: seniors centers, community events, & parades.
- Our major performance will be our year end recital.
- Each dancer will perform at least two numbers in different styles for the recital.
- This will also serve as a dance graduation. Awards will be given out to celebrate their accomplishments and all of their hard work.
- Dancers will hand in costumes at the end of the recital.
costumes
- Costumes are an important part of the performance experience. They give the dancers confidence and add fun to the performance.
- Because buying costumes can get to be expensive, and they end up at the back of dancers closets, we have decided to implement a rental program. Parents will rent costumes for the year that dancers will use for each performance/recital.
- The costume rental is a flat $50 (or $75 for dancers in more than one class) for however many dances your child is in. Solos are welcome to use a costume JDA already has, or purchase their own.
- The school will continue to buy new costumes each year and rent them out so dancers have a variety.
- Costume fee is due upon registration in lieu of a registration fee and is $50 per dancer.
- Lost of damaged costumes will be replaced at the expense of dancer/parents.
- Dancers are not allowed to wear make-up (besides glitter and lip gloss) until they are 11 years old/are competing. Make-up is optional after that.
